Resumen

Un área de investigación valiosa para los sistemas de información geográfica (GIS) y de datos espaciales (SD), que actualmente no se ha explorado ampliamente es la aplicación de los modelos geo semánticos, a los servicios basados en localización (LBS), como son ruteo , geocodificación , puntos de interés , trafico, etc., teniendo en cuenta las iniciativas promovidas por la Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), en cuanto a LBS , y la W3e sobre ontologías y web 3.0.

El objetivo del presente documento realizar una exploración de la integración entre servicios basados en localización (LBS) y web semántica mostrando las tendencias de investigación y las investigaciones más notables en estas áreas.

Abstract

A significant research area form geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data (SD), that at present is not been explored widely is application of geo semantic models to the location based services (LBS) such as routing, geocoding, points of interest, traffic, etc. Taking account initiatives promoted by the Open Geospatial Consortium, regarding LBS, and W3e on ontologies and Web 3.0.

The purpose of this paper make an exploration of the integration of Location Based Services and Semantic Web research showing trends and the most notable research in these areas.
